A little dirt on The Cremains…

Born at a late-night brainstorming session at a Phoenix-area Denny’s of all places, The Cremains quickly gelled musically and began playing local-area shows.  The band released their first independent CD in 1997 entitled Hate You (JBB Songs) and a three-song demo CD in 2000. Their singular style of songwriting and performance earned them the title “Native American Rock Band of the Year” in 1999 by the Sunnyside Newspaper , and praise from international magazine Native Peoples .  The hard-working Cremains were also awarded a “Best of Phoenix” honor in 2001 by The New Times were featured in the Arizona Republic in April 2002 and included in the December 2006 issue of Guitar World.

The host of Below the Bass on KUPD, said that The Cremains put on “an amazing set;” fans adore their singular sound, live energy and respect for their Native roots, which makes them one of the most unique Native performances in the Southwest to see.  Many also consider The Cremains one of the best local bands in the Phoenix metropolitan area.   They have been heard on several radio stations throughout the Southwest, including KUPD and KEDJ in Phoenix, KXCI in Tucson, KZGL in Flagstaff, AZ.  They have also released Sacred Stage; a collaboration with the Navajo songwriter James Bilagody (Canyon Records) in 2004.

The Cremains have finished their fourth album titled The Bird, The Snake and The Dog in 2006, which has been met with much anticipation by their fans.  The Cremains are currently looking for new management to help them achieve an even higher level of success.
